MANAGING AGENT

The owners corporation may by resolution of a general meeting appoint a strata managing agent. The strata managing agent may be delegated the powers, authorities, duties and functions of the executive committee and its chairperson, secretary and treasurer. This section of the report will indicate whether a strata managing agent has been appointed and, if so, details of the agent and the appointment.

A purchaser should keep a record of the strata managing agent because they are the person who would normally be contacted in relation to the affairs of the owners corporation. If no strata managing agent has been appointed, then the secretary of the owners corporation is the person who should be contacted.
